Brad Garlinghouse was born on February 6, 1971, in Topeka, Kansas. Brad Garlinghouse is the Chief Executive Officer of financial technology company Ripple. He was the former chairman and CEO of the file-sharing site, Hightail. For two solid years, he was the President of Consumer Application at AOL.
Brad Garlinghouse became the Chief Executive Officer of Ripple since 2015. Brad Garlinghouse was the Chief Executive Officer of file collaboration service Hightail before he began working at Ripple.
Brad Garlinghouse also served and worked in prestigious and senior positions at AOL and Yahoo, and he obtained a degree from Harvard and Kansas University. Furthermore, Brad Garlinghouse is an investor in various firms, including staffing platforms and A.I. firm Diffbot.
Brad Garlinghouse has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an B.A. in economics from the University of Kansas. He formerly held a position at Tonic Health and Ancestry.com. He’s also a board member of OutMatch and Animoto.
Ripple has engaged in different strategic coalitions with various services to broaden the adoption of the RippleNet blockchain network for cross-border fees, remittances, and settlements.
In April 2020, Ripple filed a lawsuit against YouTube claiming that the social media platforms did not do anything to remove the impersonation scam videos.
